David Richards, Marriage & Family Therapist Associate

I didn’t begin my career in therapy—I spent ten years working in the software industry. I am thankful for the customer service and sales experience in the corporate world as it gives me first hand understanding of some life context for many of my clients. However, I found that I wanted to talk with my customers about their families, relationships, personal dreams, struggles, and sense of fulfillment in their life. I wanted to hear about what mattered to them beyond the budgets and quarterly deadlines. I became increasingly aware that many people carry their burdens alone, without tools and without a space to work through the imperfect stuff.

Today, as a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, it’s an honor to provide that space. Being invited into your personal world is a profound privilege. My goal is to create an environment where you feel seen, supported, and free to explore whatever you’re carrying. My approach to therapy is grounded in a combination of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Logotherapy. This integrative approach allows me to support clients in understanding emotional patterns, developing practical tools for change, and exploring deeper questions of meaning and purpose.

Whether you’re navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, I’m here to walk alongside you.
