Expect a warm, active process where we look at how emotions shape your arguments and attachments. I use a model called Emotionally-Focused Therapy which is a hands-on approach to repairing relationships by working with your emotional and attachment bonds. We’ll identify the repetitive patterns that create distance, get curious about the feelings fueling those patterns, and try new ways to connect. I’ll coach you in real time to have conversations that build trust and closeness. I lean on a slow, thoughtful pace and focus on small wins that add up. While many clients begin experiencing positive outcomes within the first 4 - 6 sessions, there are no “quick fixes” for deep relational issues.

It is very human to feel a little lost at some point in life (maybe even very lost). Whether that is due to your line of work, the health of your relationships, a recent life transition, beliefs about the world, or just a funk that you can’t put your finger on, I will work with you to find a way forward with an approach that integrates Logotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
We will closely examine your current circumstances, relevant past experiences, and the future you hope to have. Our work will include tools for addressing specific thoughts and reactions to situations or people and it will also include creating a personal framework for pursuing a fulfilling life based on your values .

The Meaning in Life Group will run for 8 weeks, meeting weekly for 60 minutes. Individuals will find this group beneficial if they are noticing changes in their physical and mental health, experiencing anxiety about the future or death, wrestling with making sense of their past, unsure of the meaning of their life, or feel alone in the sadness and confusion that comes with any of these topics.
Logotherapy focuses on finding meaning in life by actively engaging with people and activities that align with one’s core identity and values. Each week the group facilitator will provide a different discussion topic to help members explore their thoughts and feelings related to it and how it fits into a broader framework of personal meaning. Topics will include: Confronting death, spirituality, loneliness, identity, and reflection on one’s life. Meetings will also include written and thought exercises.
